Reading and lecture about the magazine Vozduch 40/2020 - with Kirill Korchagin's new poems "And all this was a lie"

The DFG Center for Advanced Studies “Russian-Language Poetry in Transition” (FOR 2603) cordially invites you to the presentation of the 40th issue of the magazine Vozduch.  The lecture will be held in English and will be streamed live via Zoom. Please register by e-mail with our coordinator Katja Baharova (baharova@uni-trier.de) no later than July 28, 2020, to receive the access data. The access data will be sent to you shortly before the event.

The Russian poetry magazine “Vozduch” / “Air” has just published its 40th issue. Traditionally, the magazine features a wide selection of verse from the (collected) works of a poet, complemented by essays on his poetry, interviews, and reviews. The focus of this issue is on the poet, philologist, critic and translator Kirill Korchagin, who has been running the book chronicle in “Vozduch” since 2013. Kirill Korchagin will read a selection of his poems, Aleksej Grinbaum and Henrieke Stahl will talk about their essays on Korchagin, and the editor of “Vozduch”, Dmitrij Kuz’min, will give background information on the anniversary volume itself. The event will be held in Russian.

Воздух 40 / 2020 и новые стихи Кирилла Корчагина И ВСЁ ЭТО БЫЛО ВРАНЬЁМ

Журнал «Воздух», основное периодическое издание русской поэзии, только что выпустил свой 40-й номер. Традиционный формат журнала включает в себя обширную публикацию, посвящённую одному поэту и включающую обширный корпус его стихотворений, статьи о его творчестве, интервью, отзывы коллег. В этом выпуске «героем номера» стал поэт, филолог, критик и переводчик Кирилл Корчагин, с 2013 года ведущий в «Воздухе» раздел книжной хроники. В ходе встречи Корчагин выступит со стихами, о его творчестве расскажут авторы опубликованных в номере статей — Алексей Гринбаум и Хенрике Шталь. О журнале и, в частности, о его юбилейном выпуске расскажет главный редактор «Воздуха» Дмитрий Кузьмин.
